The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

    1. Is it the TRUTH?

    2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

    3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

    4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Service Above Self, the ideal of Rotary, is fostered by supporting ethical business and personal behavior; promoting international understanding and goodwill; and by providing opportunities to give humanitarian service.

The Four Way Test, on the left, is a statement of the high ethical standard expected of all Rotarians.

The main focus of Rotary is service in the community, the workplace, and throughout the world. We do this by fostering The Object of Rotary in our daily lives.
